I went back to the market this morning, and bought the other carnival glass bowl that I left behind the other day. This one is three footed and has a Grape and Cable pattern. This seems to be a popular pattern, and I'm not sure of the maker - either Northwood or Fenton, and I'm leading towards Fenton, but if anyone on here can give me a definite maker, I would be grateful. I think the colour is amethyst, but the colours change so much, depending on whether the sun is out and background colour.

one reference notes: "If the top row of four grapes is grouped to the right, it is Fenton, if grouped to the left, it is Northwood."

yours does seem to match the Northwood example in that reference. I find the G&P patterns to be a bit confusing as there was such a vast array of variations
      that both companies made.

Thank you Tallcakes and MsCrystalship. I will try and find more examples of both sorts! I am very lucky where I live near lots of small market towns in Cheshire (UK), with a good selection of Antiques centres as well, and loads of charity shops.
