Pictured as part of our “Century of Sewing Service 1851-1951” Featherweight collection are our trio of the “American” version of the 221. While identical in all physical appearnces and birthdate: Oct 26, 1950, they are only unique in the serial numbers and in their histories.
We selected these three to remain in the collection based on their stories.
Included with all are their original owner’s stories; one from New Hampshire , an insurance Co. Secretary - un married.
The first from Mountain View, California where Mabel (Pepper) Riley and her husband raised a family in addition to chickens and eggs.
The second from Westfield, New Jersey where Mr. Squires worked for ESSO oil Company and his wife Alice (Casper) was a homemaker.
The third from Laconia, New Hampshire, owned by Miss Jean Randall who eventually worked for an Insurance Company in Boston.
    Three 221s in Excellent condition!

Thank you for your comment....Pam attributes her love of sewing/ quilting to the “Home-Economics” classes the schools offered in her school days....She had great teachers! (It’s too bad they still don’t?)
We’ve added special machines to the collection over the years hoping to provide a sampling of the changes, specialty badged, variances, etc for future collectors and enthusiasts to learn about. It now numbers +50 unique 221’s......
