Elosi. ca. 1930. This is a trademark of Ernest Lohr & Otto Stiehl, of Germany, who patented the handle construction technique consisting of wrapping a thin layer of plastic around two hollow metal shells and holding all the parts together with only the two pins as seen on your knife. Later this assembly method was modified so that the shell handles were held onto a fully assembled frame-spring-blade unit by small tabs at each end of the handle being folded under the frame sides. This can easily be seen by examining most of the Imperial brand knives, among others, found today.
