    I have literally spent hours trying to find this one or anything similar is it a mirror stand ? How old? Hand made? Surprisingly I didn't find anything like it in my hours of searching.

      They look like bookends to me that were mounted on wood and facing the wrong direction.

      Sorry, I just noticed the groove on top and I think that you were right in being a mirror bracket for a vanity or something.

      How big are they what are they made of? Maybe a sign holder in a bank or store?
