Before the “Singer Featherweight were the Standard Sewhandy’s later sold to Osann and then to Singer. Often referred to as the “pre-cursor or fore-runner” of the popular “Singer Model 221 “Featherweight”. Note: they are all in “original” used condition exhibiting a lack of undercoat & refinements.
Represented here in Part #1, #2 & #3 are “7” variations. Left to right are the 1st Series - Sunburst/ Dark Mustard, 2nd - Ashes of Roses. 3rd Marine Blue, 4th - Maroon, 5th - 1st Style General Electric w/ Scrolled Faceplate, 6th - 2nd Style General Electric with GE-Stamped insignia, & 7th - Osamm-Singer in Velvet Black.
We’ve been extremely fortunate to find these colors representing all ages of the “Sewhandy” (see Part #2 for additional pics)
