I bought a few antiques off someone whose mom liked to buy things at auction but had passed & he needed things cleared out. I redo & paint furniture for a hobby but would hate to destroy something so unique. I dont have a clue what this style is called or the era. I would love some input if anyone can lead me to answers.
Even by that single (not quite so good) pic it *does* look like a lovely old cabinet, maybe even still in pretty good shape. Sorry I can't tell you anything specific about it but I WILL say that I wouldn't wanna be the person guilty of "painting" such a thing...? <eeek><nono>
