Nothing terribly unique that I know of, as a quick search here brought up another one nearly like it that another member showed several years ago. This is a HANSON Model 2000 utility/scale, "MADE IN CHICAGO 22 U.S.A.". Based on that postal code, I'll guess it is a product of the 1950's.
I don't really remember where or how long ago I got it -- just that I've had it for a few decades now myself, and that I probably first picked it up someplace more 'because I needed a scale' than 'to collect it'...?? <lol>
Does it go to 25 lbs??? Baby scale may have come with a long curved tray?? I seem to remember one as a kid!!!
YGHS, yes it measures 1 - 25 lbs. I've seen 'baby scales' with a tray as you describe, if this one had that tray it was already long gone when I got it.
One more detail about this one I was just reminded of when putting it back up on my kitchen shelf...its 'platform' is *not* actually physically attached to the innards of the scale, instead its 'shaft' just sits/fits into something inside.
THANKS MUCH to yougottahavestuff, Newfld, elanski, Brunswick, Sinnomore, officialfuel, fortapache, & iggy for the <love it>s! :-) :-) :-)
