    This painting has very thick paint in an impressionist style. It’s painted on hardboard/masonite, which I found out was invented in 1926, so this painting is probably mid-20th century if I had to guess. But I’m open to other opinions if you have one on this subject.

    I just thought it was an interesting painting and the price was right. Half off at the local resale shop today.

    I’m sure it’s a mystery that will remain because it’s not signed.

      That's very possible because the paint is really loaded on there and it's pretty rough as far as detail because of this, but there are definitely spots where you can see brush strokes. And you can see smoothness between gobs of paint that would point to a palette knife being used. Thanks for your comment.
