This appears to be pretty old. As you can see on back, it is glass and is chipped some. There is not a pin closure on back, but I like it anyway. Any ideas as to age or guesses as to location??

I think a lot of them were made for the tourist trade in Italy in the last century !~

Not the most detailed painting under glass, but old, somewhere around 1840's :-)
Do I see 3 mountains in the background?

Kyra, I agree, not the most detailed and really rough around the edges. Wow, 1840’s, that’s pretty cool. It does look like three mountains in back. Thanks for the info. Your pieces are really nice :)
