This little tag was noticed/removed/kept from a now long-gone (to the trash, or scrap metal, or whatever) 'box spring' for a bed -- one of those big squeaky bare metal contraptions-ful of coil springs that used to live under the 'mattresses' of old beds before the now more modern upholstered/wood framed/etc types came along.
A little over 1-1/2" across, its blue and orange painted logos (same on each side) would seem to be more a name/trademark for PREMIER SPRING WIRE (made exclusively by AMERICAN STEEL & WIRE COMPANY) than whoever's company might have made the actual bedspring itself. Also interesting is the small round U S STEEL logo at its top -- maybe USS was the parent company, that made the AS&W metal, that ultimately got turned into bedsprings...????
... tap tap tap ... is this thing on? ... *nobody* else also thinks this little old metal tag is kinda cool, like I do ... ? ? ? ;-) :-)
