Taxidermy Tuesday Glass Dome With Two Butterflies Trogonoptera Brookiana Birdwing Male

Trogonoptera Brookiana Birdwing Male Butterfly is the lower and larger butterfly with the green on the wings. The white butterfly with the black touches I know not.
This is one of my few buys from the last mostly rained out Rose Bowl Flea Market. Got this for only $10 and you can't buy the dome for that price. Speaking of the dome it is about 12" tall with the base and the wood base is 6" wide. So this is a fairly large dome.
The Trogonoptera Brookiana/Birdwing is from Thailand to Sumatra. This is the male. The female is much less colorful. I don't think it has a mouth but not sure about that. Many butterflies just exist to mate or lay eggs. Looks like it has a large abdomen so this one does eat.
Not sure what will be next but it will next but stay tuned. I have a few good items to post.
