      It is American empire. The knobs look odd as does the lack of key holes on the drawers, so maybe a later piece.

      A photo of the drawer joint should answer the question of age.

      It could also be in the Regency Revival style which was England's parallel time frame to Empire. I think it is more Regency than Empire, although the huge knobs look more Empire. Empire Revival or Regency Revival !~
