Found this amongst some of the service medals my grandpa received from when he was stationed in Korea during Vietnam. Any have a clue what it's for or what exactly its commemorating?

It is a Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI) or simply called a unit crest by most soldiers.
This dui is for the 83rd Ordnance Battalion. "Supporting the best" is the motto.
