These handsome foo dogs stand at about 4" tall by 2 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" deep. By their weight and look I'd say they're made out of marble, but I'm not sure. I've seen examples online and I've found that they are commonly made out of soap stone, but I've found that those lack the detail that these do and they look very shiny in comparison to these as well. But, as is usually the case, I'm no expert.

There is a sticker that shows it was made in the People's Republic of China (vintage look to the sticker), which could put them as old as 1949. On the bottom of one is etched 64 and 74. Not sure what to make of that, but if anyone has any details on these, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks all!

It does look like soapstone, which mine were made of and they seemed to have equal amount of detail !~

Thanks Phil. I know nothing about soapstone other than what I've seen online with other foo dogs. Makes sense that this would be soapstone too. I appreciate it.
