I found this cup and saucer at a thrift store, I thought it was pretty but I can't find any information on it other the name of the artist, which is written in kanji on the plate.

Don’t know of this helps-as you don’t have a photo of the mark, but this is a great resource for Chinese and Japanese porcelain marks

There are no marks ?? just the kanji on the front with the artist name.

Did you ever find out anything more? I have a similar piece which is a large octagon shaped pitcher. I have been told that the artist name is Suzuki Harunobu. He lived in the 1700s. Since I don’t think my piece is that old, I take it they are just attributing the illustration as a copy of one of his. If you’d like to contact me directly, I can send you a picture of my piece.
