I know its at least that old, because that's when I got it somewhere (as a teenager) -- also that I was OH, SO *PROUD* of it then, when such things were also (at least in my mind, rightly or wrongly?) OH, SO *TRENDY*...??? <LOL> [and soon after, I also learned that I couldn't actually *wear* it 24/7, because it'd turn my wrist green if I did...<groan>]
It is a little over 8" in total length, with links roughly 1/2" wide and 1/4" thick, weighing 1.9oz or so. No markings whatsoever on it, its clasp is a 2pc thing, the halves of which slide open/closed together around its last link to fasten it. Being copper, it now also shows a certain unpolished (for years now, I used to try to keep it shiny!) patina along with a few small general scuffs and 'pliers marks' where I originally removed a few links at its end (replacing them years later) because my wrist back then wasn't big enough for it... ;-)
THANKS SO MUCH to Watchsearcher, fortapache, Newfld, aura, jscott0363, Brunswick, & valentino97 for stopping by and tapping your <love it> button!!
Val97, I'm not under any pretense that it is notably "old", "rare" or even "unusual" in any way -- just a fun relic from my personal past. :-) It has been languishing in a drawer/box for ~20yrs or so until I rediscovered it recently, and I *have* been wearing it again (since then) for at least a few hours or a day at a time (but not 24/7) since, so far without 'green skin issues'. :-) :-) I'd almost bet your thought of 'unfinished copper' is probably more the key to that -- back then I *did* tend to keep it brightly polished while now it has a couple yrs worth of natural 'patina' built up on it...??
