I got this damaged pendant, lacking the 3 drops...
Unmarked gilt silver/vermeil
I removed the black patch and completed the lack with air curing polymer clay.
The drops were modeled with gold effect baking polymer clay, with an embeded long ring.
Painted with acrylic paint I mixed to get the matching turquoise color.
The micromosaic effect was made with black and white posca pens, colored with permanent markers.
Protected with a thin layer of varnish.
As the gold effect wasn't convincing, some "rub'n buff" silver then gold gave a more convenient effect!
A 3 hours work... but I'm really pleased with the result :-D
Size:
6.5cm or 2.5" with bale before completion.
8cm or 3.1/8 once the dangles are installed.
3cm or 1.1/8" wide.
Outstanding job Kyra!! It's a beauty!
Scott! Thank you my friend for your visit and outstanding comment :-))
What you create in your lab is most amazing and beautiful !~ Wish I still worked in a lab with all the tools at your disposal. Gratifying and beautiful, and you cannot get better than that !~
Fantastic micromosaic design, I love the bird in center & aqua color!
That is a beautiful piece. Thanks for sharing.
Dear Phil! Thank you! My "lab" is actually my kitchen table, lol :-D
My tools are tooth picks, and nail art/crafts things or "Mac Giver" repurposed things ;-)
Jenni, thanks! You know I'm fond of animals in jewellery, even if not bugs ;-)

Oohh, Ms.CrystalShip... It is a great pleasure to get such supportive and enthusiastic comment :-D
THANK YOU !!!
Your artistic flair most reminds me of a fav old friend of mine who could take the most time forgotten piece and make something of a work of art of it. Your patina that you craft on with your markers remind me of buying in the mid eighties the markers you could also use an airbrush with, so I bought a lot of them. Your patina is always through the roof in appeal !~
Oh la la! So much compliment in your comment, Phil!
Permanent markers in all colors are a must have :-))
Thank you my friend, XOXO
Very beautiful pendant Kyra. Thank you for sharing how you restore your gems.
Thank you Marga! I wouldn't call it a restoration, only a kyratisation... Cosmetic ;-))
