This one came from Goodwill rather recently, a fun find on the 'metalware' shelves for a buck or so.
It is a "VICTORY HARMONICA MADE IN SHANGHAI CHINA" which is stamped into one of its sides in English, the same thing (I suppose?) in Chinese lettering on its other side, no other markings anywhere. Its outer shell is a 1pc. plated non-magnetic metal part which encloses a green plastic grid holding the brass reeds, that assembly can easily be slid out of either end. While it is fairly obviously nothing terribly old nor maybe even particularly 'fine', it nonetheless seems to be made with sufficient quality to have been intended as an actual "musical instrument" vs. a "toy". It measures a little over 5" long.
THANKS MUCH to Vynil33rpm, Newfld, fortapache, purvis, EJW-54, jscott0363, & aura for having a look and leaving the <love it>s behind! :-) :-) :-)
One more detail about this one I forgot to add, the green plastic part is also mostly translucent, so one can sorta see inside it too especially when that part is slid out of its metal holder.
