Signed pieces from the Bohemian Steinschönau glass school are fairly uncommon. I've had this one for a while, but I'm just getting around to posting it. Nice heavy piece with layers of clear, yellow, and dark red, which give it a rich red color. Elaborate enameled filigree decoration in black. Although there are no chips or cracks, the glass isn't perfect -there are several bubble inclusions. The decoration is pretty flawless, though. The mark shown, K.K.F-S.ST., stands for "Kaiserlich Königliche Fachschule Steinschönau" (Imperial Royal College Steinschönau), and was first used around 1903. This type of decoration I think points to a slightly later date; possibly between 1910 and 1915.
