I ended up with 5 cups and saucers to play with yesterday, 2 I found in a charity shop, and 3 were from ebay, which got to me after a long wait as the seller had sent it to the wrong address! I spent most of the day trying to figure out age etc. The cup and saucer in the 2nd photo is hand painted in is pink copper lustreware, maybe from the 1830's -50's. The 3rd picture is a Victorian red transferware cup and saucer made at Blair & co, Longton (1880 - 1911) and I think this dates from 1880, as it is not marked, and I've seen later china with marks. The last picture is a lovely coffee can with hand painted roses, again no marks, and I havn't found its origins yet, but I think it's newer. I'm still trying to find out about the other 2.
Pretty group!
