C.D. Peacock was Chicago's first registered business and have been in business since 1837 and are still are open to this day. I found this set of 12 glass/crystal plates a couple months ago and I was researching when the business sold plates and anything other than jewelry. I found ads and pictures for decanters and glasses, but never for plates. There was a green felt divider between each plate with the C.D. Peacock logo (an older logo, but not the first). I assume these were sold at one of their stores in Chicago, but I can't be sure.
Does anyone have any info on plates that C.D. Peacock used to sell? They're pretty sharp looking, so I don't doubt they were sold in a jewelry store.
Thanks!
