If you owned one of these bikes back in the early 1970’s you where the envy of all the kids In your hood . Wanted one Back when they where new .well saved up for 50 years to buy this one . just one of 6 colors made and it’s all original with just 14 miles on it.
Oh yes I wanted one but did have a regular Schwinn Stingray 5 speed.
Really fantastic bike. Never had one but my friends had them. The speedometer was the coolest thing. Back in the day we used these bikes to go really fast and jump a ramp made out of plywood laid over some metal milk crates.
Even Knevel style. Lots of fun memories.
Love, love, love this -- Like clockerman said....That is how we rolled in those days, both boys or girls. No snowflakes back then but lots of scrapes. Wonderful post !!
when I got my first job I bought one of these for my brothers birthday, with my first paycheck ...lol I was his hero for years ...now I don't talk to him ...lol he never grew up . nice bike
w Disc as well. I still have my 72 (w Disc) Manta Ray!
