Foo Dogs and Angels Antique cast Candle sticks

Hello, I was hoping someone could tell me exactly what is going on with these Antique candle holders , they are very heavy cast bases . I was told they came out of a very old Catholic church in northern Mn. The legs appear to have a winged foo-dog but also there are Three angels on each panel. Three per base. If anyone knows more about this I would like to know more. Thank you
