What is it? Sometimes we find out in a round about way - Kralik Pair Spatter Glass Bath Salts Containers

This is all based on another collector's find years ago, jagsrock was very lucky to get a box with toiletry items, soaps and Czech bottles filled with bath salts, the name of the scent was called 'quatre fleurs' and the soap had the word Castille impressed on them. This box had the name of Vail Brothers or VB from Pensylvania, on labels and on the box. This would have been produced early 1920s, as the glass bottles were marked with the CZECHOSLOVAKIA country name, which did not exits till 1919.

I was happy to find a single small sized of 5.75 inches vase shape in the same size, decor, colors and shape a few months ago, and recently I found a pair of similar small vases in orange spatter, also marked with the Czechoslovakia Kralik open 'O' arch mark.

I did do a search of various sites to see if there were more of these sets, or other Vail Brothers products, this I found. Dated early 20th, flower name perfume and eau de toilette glass bottles with molded crown like glass stoppers and daubers, such as Carnation, Violet, White Rose, Lavender etc. These had pretty hand drawn and colored labels. This company also produced cleaning powders for teeth, pommade jars for men's hair, barber bottles, and so on.

So, did not find any gift box bath salts, but I am comfortable in identifying my pair of vase-containers as Kralik glass. The shape is slightly different, and the spatter glass colors are also not that common. In fact, with time, Kralik seems to have been highly prolific in the variety of their decorative Art glass in many ways.
