Please help!!! My mother bought me this beautiful limited edition, hand painted bowl by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien from Kosta Boda as a present when I purchased my first home. The bowl is very special to me and I’ve adored it since my mother gifted to me. Tragically, the bowl was broken by removalists during my recent location from Australia to America.
I am absolutely devastated and I’m trying to find more details about the bowl in the hope to find any others that might be available.
It was purchased in the early 2000’s in Australia.
I have attached pictures of the bowl. It has the markings 8UVH 015001. It is number 34 of 60.
I would at least like to know the name of the bowl and I would also be very grateful if anyone could give me any advice on how I can go about searching for one.
I sincerely hope someone Here is able to help me.
Thank you!!!
I don't want to disappoint you more than you already are, but there are true die hard Kosta Boda collectors out there and 60 pieces is a very limited run, so strap in for years of search and be prepared to pay when you find it, you can always get lucky too. In a meantime salvage what you have left of your broken bowl.
One of these has just gone up for sale in Ebay in Australia if you are still looking for a replacement - not cheap though.
Hello, perhaps I can help, if you still search for this bowl. I own the number 31/60 in a perfect condition. The bowl is located in germany. I think I could sell it to you, if the price will fit. Please send me an email, if you still interested.
If someone else is interested in collectable glass, I'm setting myself a little bit smaller, so I sell some of my favorite pices.
Thanks, Susanne
