Twined basket with a couple of interesting details

This one has me stumped! It was a gift and the giver did not know where it came from. At first glance, I thought it might be an older Ghana Bolga type, but the twined finish on the rim and the coiled foot are making me crazy. The handle style is not quite in line with Bolga (though close) and the start is not the usual Bolga start.
