I have been so swamped with a remodel job, I’m finally able to get this posted!
It was an accidental treasure found at my local antique store on the last aisle of the day. Jumbled up on a rack of old beads in the corner, just happened to catch a glint of something shiny. Then spent 20 minutes trying to untangle it.
Voila! It has an extremely hefty weight to it, although haven’t weighed it and was filthy. Took several hours to clean it up. I’ve looked everywhere on the Internet to see who may have made it to no avail. Thought possible a Haskell piece due to the beautiful box clasp, but between the dates for AB introduction and her signing her jewelry, ruled that out. Then thought Vendome, as I saw the rhinestone balls on some of their pieces, but their clasps are different.
Each rhinestone on the balls is prong set with delicate prongs. The rhinestones on the flowered box clasp are all prong set. There are tiny gold colored spacer beads between each crystal and rhinestone ball. It is very well made...or appears to be from my viewpoint. But not a signature to be found anywhere!
Y’all are much more knowledgeable than me. So if anyone know what direction I should head for further research, your input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks! Terry
Quite stunning!
Mrstyndall thank you. It is even more stunning (blinding) in person! What a difference hours of cleaning can make!
Ms.CrystalShip I love crystal necklaces, but do not have a huge collection of them. I had wondered about Laguna as well. Haskell is out of the equation for now and will narrow down to Vendome and Laguna. Vendome did use these little rhinestone balls in a lot of their designs. My hunt will continue. In the meantime, will just enjoy it!
AdeleC thank you for taking time to look at my necklace! I don’t often find treasures and do love to share them with likeminded people when I can!
fortapache thank you for the love! I love it too and can’t wait for an opportunity to wear it!
valentino97 thank you for the ????! I’m very anxious to wear it now and need to clean up my crystal earrings to wear with it. Hope they clean up as well!
Newfld thank you for the love! I loved it the minute I got it untangled from the mess of beads!
Thank you for looking everybody!

Your, almost, necklace. No makers name, and different clasp. Maybe an email to the seller? Hope this helps.
a link would be good gillian:

Gillian thank you for the link. LOL...I have forgotten them too! The one you sent is very similar, as is this one I found that is Vendome. https://www.etsy.com/listing/650228464/vintage-vendome-aurora-borealis-crystal Then found a single strand, that is similar, but with differences. It is unmarked as well, but does have the added small spacer beads. https://www.etsy.com/listing/663703792/vintage-sparkling-clear-glass-crystal
Your suggestion to ask the vendor at the antique store if she knows anything is a good one. I will leave her a note when I am in there next week.
Thank for your input! Terry
Reminds me now of the song Shiny Disco Balls. The aurora borealis effect on the balls are wonderful. Super find !~
