The Paraland Oil Company was actually the Gas Brand that was sold by Quaker State in the 30s before they bought Phillips Oil. The Brand lasted until the early 70s I'm told. We never had Paraland Stations in Utah so this sign we just stood in the Lakeside Storage Sign Forest is an unknown to most locals. It makes sign number 206 on a pole in the Collection & stands out pretty well with its bright colors.
It's known to me because my dad ran a Paraland station in Georgia back in the '60s.
Thank you so much for this posting and a nice trip down Memory Lane!
Watchsearcher,
You're very welcome. U happen to have any more info on Paraland that might be interesting for folks to know?

We just stood 2 more signs today but I'm not sure where that strange number u posted came from? Is that the total number of big porcelain signs ever made in the world? I'm OCD but not that OCD about anything.
