I'm not a Tootsietoy expert and can't tell you much about this. I'm guessing it's from the mid to late 60's, the cab looks like a Ford from that period('65?). It's a little over 8", metal cab, plastic bed and bucket assembly. Bucket traverses 360° and elevates about 10". It's in great condition, great paint, the bucket arms seem like they could be broken under semi rough playing conditions, so this thing may have never played with. I love the color combo and you just don't see that many bucket truck toys, especially from the 60's and I thought it was a fair price, considering the primo condition.
I'm pretty familiar with most 60's toys even if I don't collect them specifically. This one is a mystery to me, never seen it before. I'd appreciate any info on it.
Thanks,
Bill
Tootsie Rolls and Pops were my faves. They might pull or break your teeth, but they taste great so I didn't care.
Not familiar with the large scale tootsietoys like this. Just the little Matchbox sized ones. This one is pretty neat.
Thanks Apache, like I said I'm no Tootsie expert but I like them like most toys of my era. I had seen a few of the larger cars they made, this one appealed to me. It was mislisted as a Hubley, I was almost certain it wasn't but I knew it had to be 60's vintage. I can't understand why someone can't look underneath it and find a manufacturers name, it was written some large letters too.
Thank y'all for your loves.
I have one!!Has painted wheels not caps though
