If you are lucky TallCakes will come along soon. Vaseline glass is still being made today so it can be tricky to collect. But even the current material is valuable. Older pieces are not as bright and the patterns more complex ie EAPG 9early American pattern glass).
Some people will say the green glass is Vaseline but for me if it is green it is not Vaseline. This being yellow is the real thing although I am not sure about the age.
Thanks, I really know nothing about this glass, but love the varying colours and patterns.
This looks like Davidson Pearline glass, which glows green under UV light. I have quite a few pieces, including the boat shaped dish, which was the first bit of uranium glass I ever found.
Wow, this is my first piece too!!! I can understand how people get addicted to this beautiful stuff!!!!
If you look carefully you may find an rd. number, which tells when it was first registered. If you look at my posts and look right at my first posts I put the boat shaped dish on, plus I have posted quite a few other bits of Davidson glass on my posts.
ditto on the Davidson 'Pearline' pattern called 'Primrose'; you'll often find the registration number embossed in the glass: possibly Rd 212634 and Rd 285342
Thankyou, very informative. Any idea how I can find out the value of these pieces? I’m not going to sell, just curious as to what they are worth. ????
Your best bet to find what they are worth is to look on ebay under sold items. That will give you some idea of their prices.
Thank you everyone for your help and expertise!!! Much appreciated ??????
AdeleC, how do I get to see your previous posts so I can check out your pieces?
