Davies & McDonald Tile Company (D&M) produced patterned tile in Los Angeles, California from 1928 until 1939. The muted colors and satiny surfaces make them easily recognizable. I don't know if they had their own in-house iron works or had a contracted provider but their tile is often found in wrought iron bases.

This table features four 8" tiles set in a wrought iron base. The top is a square 17" on each side. It stands 20" tall.

Great table!! When I ran an auction for a living, we would get tile top table of this style in on occasion. Almost always California tile companies. Some were metal frames and some were wood. The thing they all had in common was that they always sold very well..... Surprising well in most cases.

10-15 years ago tile top tables were the rage here in California. I think interest has tapered off a bit since then but they still sell very well because they fit well with a variety of decors.

      Thanks for the love.

i've had quite a few of these old tile tables and always end up selling them for a good profit - and always soon after finding them.
