Signed in 1961 by the African American Beat Generation poet to Danny (Daniel List - circulation manager of the Village Voice) my SOUL BROTHER... an early usage of the now famous term. according to my research, earliest known use was in 1959 - just a couple years earlier. Book is a wonderful glimpse into the NYC Greenwich Village art scene in the Beatnik era. A wild combination of words and images.
