This 2 1-4" circular brooch shows the head of mythology's Medusa, made of turquoise & coral lucite with goldtone snakes in hair and rhinestone accents. By Kramer (1943-1980) ca 1960s from their Mythology series that included a Roman Tribune and oft reproduced Pegasus horse
Fantastic piece, I love !~
Wow! Striking large piece, Jenni! I love the open back, color combo and the detailed snakes!!!
love it!!
Really cool brooch!
Wowser !! A++++++++
I've seen things that remind me of this image before- I think it maybe stone wall plaques? Whatever the case I think this is a fantastic piece and the detail in her snake/hair is really nice especially for such a little piece. A brilliant interpretation of Medusssssssaaa!!!
Thanks all for loving my Medusa :)

So thrilled you liked this Phil, I really love mythology stories and what is more dramatic than the Medusa legend, many thanx for the fab compliment
Pascale I really hoped my snakes here would appeal to you, when I look at them I see the basketful of asps that bit Cleopatra! Totally grateful for the wonderful praise, thanks so much
Sean thank you I'm really glad you enjoyed this rather offbeat selection from me, I saw this and just knew I had to have it, tells a story just by looking at it!
Isn't it so cool MrsT thank you for the super compliment, even tho it's a mythology theme I have to have an animal touch (snakes) in there lol
Mary I hoped you would like this with the colorful lucite, Kramer did a few nice pieces with it (Eileen has their beautiful Pegasus), and it was such a lucky & unusual find 4 me, thank you for the super comment
Thanks Rose for the kind words, this piece wowed me as well, I love to find something different & glad it was enjoyed
This brings back memories................of an ex wife.
Lauren I just noticed your super and cool Medussssa comment, made me laugh as I am still picturing her floating around hissing and stopping before men's faces in Clash of the Titans, with a half beautiful and half monstrous face! She was also terrifying in the old Hammer film The Gorgon, ck it out. Thanks for the kind words my friend
Many thanks Roycroft and jbingham for the super kind love
Great mythology info Eileen, did not know about the Pegasus connection to Medusa! I just knew when I saw this piece not to pass it up, as those Gorgon films are among my fave horror pix (without the extreme modern gore :) Glad you liked Kramer's version here, thanks for wonderful comment
