Nippon hand painted cobalt swan vase. I'm very interested in getting some history on this piece. I have several others but wanted to begin with this beauty.

Famous and collectible Noritake Japanese by Morimura Brothers, called NIPPON instead of Japan, then pre 1920, beautiful hand painted porcelain vase, with what we used to call 'muscle man' handles. Thanks for posting.
thank you! I'm having a hard time finding one of the same. do you know if they are one of a kinds? was this originally part of a pair?
Glad I could help. 1910 is the date when this company started producing high class porcelain items, much of it was dinnerware, and other utilitarian pieces. Vases were ore rare, and not sold in pair, I am not saying never, but pairs were the Victorian style of decorative consoles and mantel piece sets. Mirror pairs were popular then with two version of the decorations side by side. There is still much variety in these pieces, your piece is marked, no doubt about it.
Gorgeous swans on lake scene, a real beauty!
I have a vase just like this one so there were at least two created!
