Found this pretty pair at an estate sale this Friday. (they did fall under my five dollar rule for the pair!) When I got home I was gently washing the dust off with tepid water and the more battered one broke. I feel so bad that I literally broke up the pair that have been together for so long.
These guys are unmarked. They have that Roseville brown look to them but I am unsure. They have that really old pottery feel so could be any number of makers. Any thoughts???
Gosh, I am on a pottery breaking spree this summer. I have never broken much ever, and this summer is insane. My husband tells me that the pottery gods are upset with me. I tell him to be quiet but I secretly think he may be right. Time to burn some sage or something.
Any thoughts?
This looks like either Redwing or Haeger I have a redwing Deco piece with a very similar color.
Thanks Upstate,
Yes it could be either of those guys. Not sure if Haeger left much unmarked...they seemed to stamp their name on everything. How old is your Redwing piece of the same color?
Cheers!
Hi Amber your pieces are from Rosevilles Russco line. Great find!! Thanks for the comments on my finds!! Greely1
