I am hoping to find out some information on this desk. It was given to me and i have no idea of the time period or style. Sorry for the sideways picture. I can't get it to flip

Slant top????? Looks like someone mounted it sideways on a wall.
    2. janice611, 6 years ago
I am sorry for the picture being sideways. I have tried to flip it but have been unsuccessful..

fhrjr, posts made by, or photos taken with, certain brands of cell-phone and other digital cameras end up side-ways regardless of what editing program the user attempts to straighten them by. AKA, the user cannot help it as it's beyond their control.

SpiritBear I beg to differ with you. If the image is loaded on to a computer, properly oriented and then saved, it will post properly oriented. The solution is well within their control. It doesn't require any editing, just proper orientation and being saved. If you fail to save it after orienting it then it will revert to a sideways image and be posted that way.

fhrjr, the majority of people today are getting rid of personal computers in favor of handheld devices. People like me who have a desk-top, and even laptops now, are becoming uncommon unless they're video-gamers or work from home.

I just wanted to be clear that I am computer literate. The picture is saved in the correct orientation and the fault lies with how it is read when uploaded on to this site. I believe it is due to how the picture was taken - meaning by the way i held my cell phone. I plan to retake to see if that is the cause.

      someone reposted right-way up?
    10. janice611, 6 years ago
I corrected it. It was caused by the way i took the picture with my phone.

Thanks Janice! Did you read what was said in the link from CW?

Goodness, in all of that nobody talked about the desk. So.....could you please open the desk, and take pictures on the inside; also need the back, and inside any drawers. I don't understand what the circle on the far right is about?

      Thank you very much!
    13. fhrjr2 fhrjr2, 6 years ago
The circle appears to be an early version of a mirror box.
    14. fhrjr2 fhrjr2, 6 years ago
I meant shadow box not mirror box
