    I found this on a pick and thought it was cool. I have no idea what it is, however. It is about as long as a yard stick. The numbering is definatly old. There are holes on both sides and marking on both flat sides. The is a small piece of steel at the end, looks like it is meant to measure something.

      It's a measuring device called a "Biltmore stick". Do a google search for more information.

      Thanks Dave. The ones online don't have the holes on the edge. What do you make of that?
