While searching for American made dinnerware, I found this little labeled Anchor Hocking vase. It is 7 3/8" high and 5" in diameter at the widest point. I've never seen this vase before and don't see very many Anchor Hocking vases as a rule, so decided to take it home with me. I think it was $1.99 at GW. Since it had a label and model number, I thought it would be easy to research, but searching on the model number yielded zip, so I went on an extensive image search. Zip again. Huh. After some close scrutiny, I realized that the color is flashed on internally, but really well done, with only a slight lack of coverage around the foot. Based on the lack of information about it and the short life span of paper labels, I decided to post it.
Thanks for loving my apparently uncommon Anchor Hocking vase!

Did you ever have the vase appraised? I actually looked online to and your vase is the only one I have seen like mine. I have the exact vase you have and I even have the matching larger one too. I was thinking of listing them on ebay but I didn't know how much they were worth. Please let me know if you had it appraised. Thank you in advance for your help.
The appraisal fee for something like this vase would be x number of times more than it is worth. Not worth appraising. These vases are florist ware, even though they seem to be uncommon and maybe are. Uncommon does not equal valuable. You might mention in your ebay description that they are uncommon, which might get you a few more dollars, or might not.
So if you were selling them how much would you maybe list them for?
This kind of discussion is technically not kosher on CW, but... If you don't have any money in them, no reserve. If you do, you can try a reserve that will at least get your money back for you and lower if it they don't sell. You are probably not going to make any profit, but it is all salesmanship. Have good images, point out they are uncommon, etc. These are not collectible, made post 1980, florist ware, etc. Their value is in their usefulness and decorative appearance.
Thanks MALKEY!
