I have had this timekeeper for years. It’s made of brass and is so beautiful. On this site for the first time I have found the railway equivalent of the shipping one. I was both excited and surprised. In the search it is under “superior timekeeper dome”. They are Swiss made and have 17 beautiful jewels I payed inside the rest of the dome. Really beautiful piece.

I have no idea how old these are? Any ideas?

I have learned s little more about my item. It is European made. The jewels inside are faux sapphires or rubies and this one is the more elaborate one. They made hard plastic replica ones as paper weights in the 1970’s which are now quite scratched and hard to see through in this era. I have overwound it during play and snapped the winding mechanism. It is no longer a collectible!!!! Argh!!!! Nevertheless it is now for sale on eBay.
