    (898 items)

This is only my second Vanity Set as they are difficult to find at a cost I find reasonable. Two pieces were shattered in transit so, though disappointed, I feel incredibly lucky to have the survivors. The whole lot was despatched in a box the size of a large shoe box!!!

Good news - bad news. I feel your disappointment. The last time I bought a lot of four items through the mail I received a lot of one item and a box full of broken glass. I joke that our local postal service puts everything through the box crusher prior to delivery but really, the only things that break are the things that are thoughtlessly packed.

Actually valentino97 there were ten separate pieces counting stoppers in a box the size of a large shoe box......so not much room for packaging!

You are right artfoot, the box wasn't bent or deformed (i.e. it hadn't suffered any knocks) so it was purely down to the items being able to move against each other within the box. Still could have been worse :)

What vibrant colors! Too bad the other pieces didn’t make it :(

What a fabulous set! I love the colours, the red really makes the yellow and blue pop!
Sorry about the breakage, I know how heartbreaking that is to receive a parcel that rattles.

Nice that you like it welzebub, at least it was only two out of seven. Mostly the loss is 100%!

Thank you, Mrstyndall, vibrant indeed, perhaps a little much.....

Thanks, courtenayantiques, five is a good number for a set so I'm not complaining.

How sad two were broken. I don't think I've ever seen such a complete set. Agree with Manikin, really stunning!

      So beautiful, despite the damage.
I totally agree & empathize regarding the issue of multiple items bumping against each other in a parcel, it's happened to me a few times, & is so frustrating. It actually makes me not want to bid on pairs or sets or job lots of items. I have sent many parcels myself with up to a dozen items in one box & it's all about ensuring that they have no contact with each other - & it can be easily achieved using recycled packaging, so no extra expense is needed to do a decent job. Really, it's all about using simple logic & taking care...

Another 'stunning' thank you Fran :) I got off lightly all in all!

Yes IronLace, in spite of the disappointment and hassle I'd rather have what's left than none at all. I've also noticed that some people are so totally surprised and apologetic about breakages that they probably had no idea that their packaging was in any way inadequate!
