My friend's parents got this piece of Mexican pottery in the early 1900s. Anybody know its origin? Thanks!

Not early 1900s, but it is Mexican, from the village of Mata Ortiz. Same as the other pot you posted about: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/264294-love-this-piece--anybody-know-its-origi?in=454

Some of the potters at Mata Ortiz use designs based on early pre-Columbian Indian pottery from the nearby ruins of Paquime. The potters are all Mexican, however, none claim any tribal affiliation, and are unrelated to the culture that created the original pots.
