Great-great grandmother’s tea set

Recently discovered family antique. (First picture is before polishing took place) Know nothing about it except that it is Gorham and the letter “N” stamped on the bottom of each of the 4 pieces signifies the year 1881. Not necessarily looking for an appraisal, just it’s “story”. Thanks in advance, any information is helpful.
