Good morning! I love that the members of Collectors Weekly are always so obliging, sharing their knowledge and expertise. Can anyone tell me who they think the manufacturer of this set is? It is a lovely pair of earrings and bracelet. It seems to be better quality than many of the vintage rhinestone items I find at estate sales. I have not seen a safety catch on a costume piece of jewelry before. Any thoughts?
I have over 75 bracelets and most have a safety chain. But a sort of quality that is noted. The rhinestones look like they have the real prong set stones, which is so hard to see through the poor pictures. Not an item that should be cleaned in water or any liquid which would get under the stones and cause a rot to the silver backing of the stones. Only knowledgeable pros should clean these.
BTW, a beautiful bracelet you got there !~
Thank you PhilDMorris
I don't know much, but I know not to get rhinestones wet. I once cleaned a brooch with rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip as I was instructed by a CWer. LOL I can be taught.
