I recently purchased a home and almost everything in it was antique. Some was just antique inspired. I'm scared to just give anything away. There was a HIDEOUS bowl I almost gave to Goodwill, until it was flipped over in the car and a piece of tape on the bottom read, "bought in Virginia, paid $200, made in Germany in 1800's". So, that's in my cabinet now. Anyways, heres this childs chair. I was wondering if anyone knew the era it's from.

You didn't include any dimensions, like width of the seat, height of the seat from the floor, height of the entire chair measured at the back. I can tell you just from the picture this is not a child's chair. I also doubt it is an antique yet. Being short doesn't immediately say child's chair. When did you see a kid with a butt big enough to fill this chair seat?
