Any one who can shine alight on what this item is? The glass is marked ”Jena therm 2L”. The metal shroud has no markings. Think the glass bottle is for science use and not original to the metal case. Please, if someone has more info about the metal caseing?

I believe you have a lovely thermal tea pot. The hot tea would be poured into the glass caraffe, then caraffe placed in the silver case for serving your guests in incredible style!
