I wonder if anyone could identify this stone. I think this was made in Italy. I don’t know much about jewelry but it is sterling and has a chain with, Italy , stamped on it.

It's spiny oyster but I can't read what it says on the back. It was used in a lot of Native American Jewelry. Maybe I should say it IS, instead of was. Can you put up a clearer pic?

Well, thank you twice Ms. Val!!! hahaa

Weandocin54, ok, here's how this goes. I would think that it is Native American but the true facts of the matter is that when you can't positively id the piece by the initials, then the piece is not considered to be Native American. I know many listings out there you will see something described as N.A. but they are not supposed to do that. Any chain could have been put with this, btw. It's my guess this is from the late 60's early 70's by the . in front of the 925. I hope this is clear for you.
