This doll is in rougher shape than the other one. She's got a composition head and arms- her body and legs are cloth. Lots of stains on body and gown and her slip. She must have had a squeaker at one point because I can feel it and see it's outline on her back. She is very firmly stuffed... not sure with what. Her sleep eyes still work perfectly. She didn't appear to have a ton of crazing when I got her, but it's almost as if she's crazing and peeling right before my eyes- especially the back of her head. I guess she needs to go back in the tote she came in for now until I can figure her out. Does anyone know if there's a way to stop the spread of the peeling or would she just need to be completely restored? Thanks for looking!

She is made of composition and once paint start lifting nothing you can do but sand it down and repaint. I would put a bonnet on her and leave it alone . These types of dolls are on what is called a Mama dolls body because when the squeak box was pressed it seemed to say Ma Ma . A very collectible doll since it is called a character face rather than just a dolly face .

Thanks, Manikin! I was hoping you'd see this and reply. You are my go to expert whenever I have questions about a new addition to my collection. Hopefully I'll be able to retain some of the knowledge you're passing on and can use it to help someone else out in the future. ??
