Here's a bit of back tracking on the restoration. I used new old style sockets in plastic and ceramic to keep the antique look. In the main pan I chose to point them downward instead of flat like the original. I tried several types of vintage LED bulbs. In this pic they were a bit big when all three were clustered together and didn't clear the crystal tiers properly. So I found some nice smaller heavy patterned glass halogens that were perfect. Then a test fit in the stairwell which needed lighting badly, It's the highest point in the house. The rest of the ceilings are too low barely 7 feet. Should look great there and at eye level once you're upstairs . Wear your shades ! -Mike-
Nice job on the restoration Mike. Looking forward to seeing it all complete and lit up.
Thanks Bruce...it was a fun resto. Tracking down the crystals at a good price was the hardest part. :)
