Its a Hawthorne Bike sold at Montgomery Ward and Company from 1939-1941. I came across it and don't know a lot about I just know it was sold for Montgomery Ward and Company. Not sure of the collectabilty of it and would like to know more.
Your bike was probably built in the 60's what is the serial number on the bike.
Not sure what the serial is I can't read it, but when I looked the bike up on-line all I can find is that it was built from 1939-1941 for Montgomery Ward. Is all I can find nothing after that date at all. I am thinking about buying them but not sure what they maybe worth. Or what to even offer they are ride able just needs paint and tire.
It was not built in the 40s it was built in the 60s
That maybe very true I was just going by what I found thank you for more info. Any idea on value if any just thinking about buying.
I would say less then $50
ok thank you very much
The red bike actualy may be older than the 60s. Is the chain on the red bike different
The red bike has a skiptooth chain wich means It could be from pre 1955
Not sure what the chain looks like I not bought them yet but I may do it depending on what he wants for them both. Not sure what a skiptooth chain looks like .
