My mother found this in a trash pile she and my father were cleaning up and gave it to me since I dabble in bottle collecting. My collection is mostly soda bottles and I've never seen anything like this one. It is not perfectly square and symmetrical. She and I would both enjoy knowing something about it. If anyone has any ideas about what it is, I would really appreciate a message.

This is very likely an Avon bottle. The cap would have been a lady’s head. Avon had many beautiful bottle shapes and they are very collectible.
Try researching Avon bottles....probably contained bubble bath or a fragrance.
I have about a dozen Avon bottles that my mom collected back in 1960s till about 1980s....all pretty shapes but the coolest thing is that some still have the cologne or after shave in them and it still smells wonderful! (I would not put it on my skin though!)
I can tell from the neck that it would've accepted a ground glass stopper. Difficult to gauge the size - please would you give the dimensions? Also a pic of the bottom.
Thank you!
Thank you, Watchsearcher.
Gillian, the height is 9", the width of the base 3-5/8", and the widest point at the bottom of the arms is 4". A pic of the bottom is now included. Thanks for your interest.

Thank you, TallCakes. Wow.
Sorry I was steering you I the wrong direction toward Avon! Maybe you will someday come up with the clown head stopper for this lovely bottle.
